Open Question: Do any of these work?

Tried and True Tips and Tricks *Drink water! This is the #1 rule for both ana and mia. It fills you up when you are hungry and makes purging easier. The general rule is also that hot water fills you up more and ice cold water helps you to burn more calories since it lowers your body temperature so your body has to work harder to stay warm. *Chew sugar free gum or mints constantly. I am never without one or the other in my mouth. The benefits are endless: it kills cravings, keeps your mouth full so you can't binge, burns calories by chewing, peppermint flavors suppress appetites, and prevents bad breath if you are in ketosis. *Tea of Coffee are an Ana’s best friend. Drink with NO CREAM OR MILK and artificial sweetener ONLY. Tea is especially great because it comes in so many different flavors and is calorie free, as opposed to black coffee which has an albeit small amount. The caffeine is also great for raising metabolism. *Cut food into tiny pieces. Put your fork down between bites. Chew everything a certain number of times. Eat in patterns. Develop systems of eating. All of this helps to make food a mere object rather than the devil itself. *Take a sip of water or other calorie-free liquid between each bite. You feel full much faster, partially because the body often mistakes thirst for hunger, so by drinking, one actually reduces the amount of food their body needs to eat. *If you are really craving something specific and are on the verge of a binge, go into the kitchen, prepare it, and then eat it-but do not swallow! Chew it slowly, enjoy it, and then spit it out. Immediately after that rinse your mouth with water at least three times before swallowing a sip so you do not accidentally ingest any calories. *If you are about to binge, pick a safe food, preferably negative calorie (pickles, celery, blueberries, etc.) and eat it non- stop for up to half an hour, taking a sip of water with each bite. Often you will not be able to even get up to half an hour, and you will be full so the desire to binge will be gone, but you haven't eaten anything "bad." *No Sugar Added, Fat-Free Fudge Pops. These are the reason I am alive. They have 40 calories in one and taste exactly like chocolate ice cream. If you must binge, try eating a whole box of these. There are 560 calories in a box of 14, and they are easy to purge. *Do not ever eat anything you do not know the exact amount of calories in. Sometimes you can fool yourself into thinking you've eaten less than you have. Remember, numbers do not lie. *Track progress by measurements and not the scale alone. Scales are affected by everything from the weather to the time of day, but the numbers on a measuring tape are affected by nothing except the actual size of your body. *Keep a food diary. Start your own pro-ana page. Make an ed scrapbook. Anything that keeps your mind on not eating is a good thing. *When you want to eat, exercise for at least 15 minutes first. I like to put on nice lyrical music, usually Charlotte Martin or sometimes classical, and do bare work. It not only distracts you from eating but burns calories and benefits your body as well. *Buy a pair of expensive jeans at least one size too small. Try them on right before you eat. You will either not want to eat or will eat less. When you lose enough weight to fit into them properly, reward yourself by buying another pair, again one or two sizes too small. *Eat low-calorie foods with very intense flavors. Often times you just crave taste. Chili peppers, anything pickled, peppermints, and very concentrated bullion (make it with half the water recommended) are all good options. *Make a list of foods that you are absolutely never ever allowed to eat. Write it down and keep it somewhere accessible. On this list should be things like doughnuts, cake, cream, soda, fatty meats like duck, and any dairy product not made with skim milk. If you really like any of these things and find it hard to resist, prepare it, but then put something disgusting all over it (like pouring vinegar on a cream-filled doughnut). Take a bite. You will find you have totally lost your taste for the food. *Diet pills are amazing, but you have to be careful. Try to eat something small and safe when you take one, like an apple or a small piece of grilled chicken. If you don't then you will get awful side effects. The same goes for taking more than the recommended amount. I have taken four stacker 3 pills with no food and almost ended up dead because of it. Use, but with caution. *If you must go out to eat, go to the restaurant’s web page before hand, and find something safe to eat. Do not eat bread or appetizers. Order a salad with dressing on the side if everyone else is having appetizers. If there is nothing safe on the menu most places will make you a plain piece of grilled chicken or fish if you ask. *Never drink soda. There

Open Question: Who in your opinion is a true DIVA?

Okay, I think a DIVDA is someone who has a long history of successful hits and albums, who has kept herself strong and beautiful for years, who has not been broken by the press, who has been a good role model and an addition to this world. I want to say Madonna... but Madonna has fallen in my eyes since the Hard Candy. She was a DIVA in Ray of Light, but now days, she's just too "slutty" and too "desperate" to keep the DIVA name. I want to say Celine Dion, but she's been stock in a circle since My heart will go on... She's not reinventing herself and music is too country as of late. So, after considering many, many more, I have came to a conclusion, that in my opinion, a true DIVA, who actually deserves to bare such name is.... SARAH BRIGHTMAN!!!!! She has been in music industry for 30 years! She has reinvented her image from each album, but not only that, she has songs that are oprah, rock, pop, new age, world, classical, etc... She's one of the rare singers who has a variety of styles compiled into one voice. She's just amazing!!!! Check out these videos on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9Z6WoKIyx4&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDRGtK8z0Ik&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDQ_v0LiysA and this, guys, please, this is my all time favorite song by Sarah Brightman, please listen to it and lemme know what you think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLozn2HTeng oh my god, Beyonce is too young to be called Diva. She doesn't have 30 years of music industry behind her back! Christina is out of the question in my opinion. She's trying too hard to be Mereline Monroe with her cow face. Tina Turner is not in the picture anymore just like Sher, they're both gone... So Sarah Brightman wins so far! okay, so Christina and Briteny, Beoncey and Miriah Carry, I don't even care to misspell their names because they haven't been around for that long to inherit the name of DIVA. A Diva is not one with a bitchy attitude and huge numbers of albums sold, she's the one who is original, creative, innovative, strong, beautiful, and has a few decades of years spent.... I don't think we can call Britany Spears that, because she's not strong, and she's not beautiful, and she has not been kind in her music... Sex in every song is not a kind of image a true Diva would choose! Sarah Brightman is VERY popular, especially in Europe, Asia and Latin America. If USA is too busy listening to Briteny Spears to ignore her, doesn't mean she's not popular!!!! By the way, she has tours throughout USA with millions of tickets sold!

Open Question: Spiritually speaking why do people still deny ancient egypt was black ?

god. Just because they belived in numerous gods dosen't mean anything this was before the Lord let everyone know he wanted to be known as the lord. Egypt was a black civilization any other statement is nothing but a Eurocentric lie. Don’t give me that a mummy was found with red hair myth it has been debunked (http://www.archaeology.org/interactive/hierakonpolis/field/hair.html ) This genetically proved Egypt was black and it was done by white anthropologist (http://wysinger.homestead.com/African_Archaeological_Revie__June_2005_.pdf ) Does Imhotep look like a white or Arab to you http://www.iqb.es/historiamedicina/personas/bpics/imhotep.jpg ? . Linguistic Unity With Southern and Western Africa In a detailed study of languages, Diop clearly demonstrates that Ancient Egyptian, modern Coptic of Egypt and Walaf of West Africa are related, with the latter two having their origin in the former. Testimony of Classical Greek and Roman Authors Virtually all of the early Latin eyewitnesses described the Ancient Egyptians as Black skinned with wooly hair. Ancient Egyptians were indeed Black Africans. Archaeologists have discovered, by examining their cranial structure, that they were a mixture of what we would today consider Black and Arab. Now their was some whites in Egypt but, , this was the result of thousands of years of foreign occupation. Which unfortunately is used to dispel facts regarding the original Afican Nubian Foundations of EGYPT COMPLETE Pharaoh ( notice the unmistaken African features http://users.cyberone.com.au/myers/diop12-13.jpg Egypt aside, Africa has had many empires, songhay, mali timbuktu, etc.africa was colonized by Europeans and had it's wealth and natural resources stolen repeatedly THIS IS THE BEST PICTURE THAT PROVES BLACK EGYPT http://images.easyart.com/i/prints/rw/en_easyart/lg/3/0/Head-of-Amenophis-III-from-the-tomb-of-Onsou-Egyptian-Art-302583.jpg How can you deny that ? ^^^ Medicine Mummification Masonry Gothic Architecture Ship Building Law Religion Culture Music Writting Fermentation of fruits and vegitables. Agriculture Art....and the list goes on and on! The roots of "Western" civilization, culture, science, technology and religion are to be found not in Greece, but in Black Egypt and Nubia-Kush. From as early as 10,000 B.C. to 1500 A.D., Blacks were in the forefront in the development of science, culture and technology. Black empires and civilizations from the prehistoric Zingh Empire of 15,000 B.C. of Mauritania to ancient Khemet (Egypt) and Nubia-Kush, which existed about 17,000 years ago, experimented in various aspects of science and technology. Some of these sciences and technologies were so advanced that stories of flying machines and the invention of advanced machines has been passed down through ancient writings. Later Black civilizations such as Khemet and Mali experimented and created various sciences and technologies such as the chemical and mystery sciences of ancient Khemet and the surgical sciences of Mali, in West Africa. As early as about 400 B.C., a Black Pharaoh named Pi Di Amen built a model glider to conduct experiments in flight. Centuries before, the Black Egyptians had already invented gunpowder for use in their temples and mystery schools. The mathematical and astronomical sciences necessary for high technologies such as those used in space technology and industries were first began by Blacks in Khem (Egypt) and Kush (Sudan). These sciences and high technologies were then passed on to the Sumerians, Babylonians, Elamites (all originally Black civilization), Greeks, Hebrews, Romans and Arabs In fact, it was the Black Sabeans of South Arabia, members of the Kushitic branch of the Black African race who established the first civilization in the Arabian Peninsula...thousands of years before the emergence of the Bedouin Arabs Black medicinal sciences began in Khemet (ancient Black Egypt) and led to later Greek medicinal sciences. These ancient African sciences were copied by the Greeks and others from the ancient Papyrus texts composed by the ancient Khemites and Nubians. From about 711 A.D. when the Moors, a Black people from Senegal, West Africa and Morocco, invaded Europe. They introduced Black Moorish science, technology, civilization and education to Europe and raised the Europeans from the Dark Ages of about 400 A.D. to 711 A.D. The Black Moors introduced advanced learning to Spain, similar to what had been taking place in Ghana, and at the university city of Jenne in Mali for hundreds of years. They introduced advanced learning to the cities of Toledo, Seville and Cordoba. These cities became centers of Black Moorish and European scholarship, science and culture, where Europeans and others learned new and advanced sciences, arts and technologies. That led to the European Renaissance of later years. The Black Moors introduced art, architecture, sciences, medicines, animal hu

Resolved Question: Why is classical music so hard to listen to?

You can't listen to it on the bus or in the metro due to the extremities of loud and soft which are always present in classical music. You end up just hearing the loud parts DA NA NA NA wtf just happened? You can't listen to it at night (if you live in an apartment/flat) without constantly adjusting the volume on your speakers due to the aforementioned LOUD/soft ever present aspects. When you're driving home from a night of mayhem with your friends and want to unwind you switch to classical fm only to hear whines that THIS MUSIC IS DEPRESSING PUT BACK THE ELECTRO You can't afford to buy it since each cd costs around 40 to 50 bucks (Of...course.. I don't have over 100 gb of classical music on my hard drive from torrents (shifty eyes)) And finally a little statistic with no relevance whatsoever to the topic in question...courtesy of Youtube.com Britney Spears - Womanizer (Director's Cut) Views: 30,213,127 Gustav Mahler - Adagietto (from Symphony N°5) 11,048 views THIS WAS A JOKE! I am obsessed with Chopin. He is my favorite composer. So I've already listened to all his etudes. I know Alkan's Barbaro, it is very catchy but I doubt it is as hard to play as people say it is after listening to Liszt's transcendental etudes or Godowsky's variations on Chopin etudes. Yes, I've listened to that Toccata by Prokofiev. I'll admit I haven't delved much into Prokofiev yet besides his 2nd and 3rd piano concerto and some of his other symphonic works And finally I want to add that I used the word classical in a colloquial sense as everyone seems to do on these forums. I spend most of my days in the romantic era. Derek I also listen to Jazz a lot. Oscar Peterson and Art Tatum are my favorite jazz pianists.
